I Am Not A Fan

Football.

You just can't escape it here. This is a football mad nation!

The fact that almost everyone has gone bananas about it and have even gone to extremely insane measures to get or do anything linked to football is one of the main reason why I do not find favour in football.

I love what Richie said about the sport a few weeks ago. It went something like this:

Its a game where 20 people run around to chase a ball and once they got it, they kick it away!

Genius.

I simply do not understand the mad buzz going about here regarding this sport. Here are some examples of what football does to its insanely devoted fans that I find to be incredibly vexing:

1. Supporters of a certain club will have heated arguments and begrudged feelings towards the players and fans of other clubs.

Guys! Don't you have something better to do or something more important stuff to talk about?

2. Committed fans would stay up until 5am just to watch a match Live even though they have something extremely important business to attend to in the morning.

The next day they either take leave or show up at work/class looking like a zombie

3. People will actually cry when their beloved team loses a match.

When more important things happen right in their hometown, most of them do not give a da-yuhm. Football is everything.

We often hear about people getting injured during a match. This usually happens when some idiot digs his own grave by shouting stupid remarks about the other team, igniting anger among the fans of an opposing team. That is when the fists start flying.

Sure, we should show symphaty (to a certain extend) towards the injured ones during such an engagement. But we are mostly forgetting the one group of peope that are victimised by all these devoted football crazed people. That group happens to be the group of people that are indifferent about the sport, the ones who have acquaintances or friends or families that are football junkies.

Poor us! And by us I mean the wives that have to put up with their husbands who have their late night affairs with football, causing the husbands to forget that they have a wife and kids to love, feed and take care of.

And the girlfriends that are forced to sit with her boyfriend and his friends while they watch a football match. Girlfriend? What girlfriend? The only thing on my mind now is football. -_-"
Sorry girls, we loose all our seductive powers when it is football season. Beatened by a mere football that is being kicked around for 90 minutes. How degrading...

And the people that need "Football for Dummies" who are forced by their friends to choose between clubs.

"If you don't like Arsenal, you are not my friend anymore!"

"What Arsenal! Eh, if you consider yourself to be my friend, you will support Man U!! Red Devils all the way baby!!"

"What the french connection united kingdom heck you people talking about ah? Support Liverpool!!"

And poor me who had to attend SAT english ALONE for 2 sad hours today because some people watched football until 5.30am and was unable to drag their sorry asses to class because of football!!!

Not to mention the time when some people promised to study together, only to completely desert me and headed to mamak for the very purpose of watching football until 2am!!

And how about the time when a friend whacked me and "hated" me and threatened to not speak to me forever just because I did not support Man U!!

I rest my case >.<

Evil I tell you. But evil as it is, sometimes I do use it against some of my fanatic friends:

"Chad, I want to hurt you real bad. I hate LIVERPOOL!!!"

"No, no please.. Don't hate Liverpool. Hate me.. I don't mind if you hate me, just not Liverpool... Please..."

Like, what the~~

I am baffled by such situations...

Last night I was watching Pride and Prejudice, and there was one line that left me completely breathless. I texted that line to Alep and Chad while watching the movie:

"-You have bewitched me body and soul. And I love, I love.. I love you.- Zomg I love love love Pride and Prejudice!!"

Apparently Chad was sleeping that time, and was half awake when he read my message. His reaction:

"Huh? What the hell... She loves me? What?? (goes back to bed) "

!!!!!!!!!

Normal people would be alert and fully awake the moment they read the first half of the message!! Football has permanently damaged him...

I do not understand football, and I do not think I ever will.

Go ahead and craze about it if you want. Just make sure it does not affect me in any way, then you shall be spared from my wrath :)

ps: I LOVE PRIDE AND PREJUDICE!! lolz.. irrelevant, I know...

You Smell Good I Like You

I like things that smell nice. Who doesn't right?

When I was in primary school, we kids loved to buy this tube of sweet smelling tiny coloured pearls and leave a few pearls here and there to fragrant up our pencil boxes and bags. We also bought pens whose inks had fragrances. It was a popular choice for one who wishes to doodle in someone's autograph book to enhance their personal entries, or simply to write in his or her exercise book for the sake of doing so.

I just love things that smell really really nice.

I liked it when my dad would put air refresherner in my mum's car. The cool air from the aircond would carry the fresh Ambi Pur smell and fill the entire car with it. My dad also has a can of Ambi Pur in his car. Occasionally, when he's not in the car, I would spray the car once only, careful not to let the overpowering smell intoxicate everyone else in the car. Besides, my mum would scold me for disturbing my dad's stuff anyway.

Here in PJ, I have a can of Ambi Pur that has a pleasant green apple smell. Kinda makes me miss the ice blended green apple that they sell at Asia Cool (or whatever the name is) in Kuching. When I feel like it, I would spray my room and bathroom with it, and it smells good...

I also love scented candles. Especially the ones from Ikea, specifically the vanilla scented candles. I would love to own a cupboard full of those candles and place them all over my house. They have this soothing vanilla smell that reminds you of ice-cream. Yummy... The only downside to this candle is that it does not carry the vanilla smell when you light the wick. Too bad though...

I also have this Nivea lip balm that has a sweet smell. I think it smells of raspberry, I am not sure though. I can't quite put my finger to it. It smells so nice and sweet that you just feel like eating the entire thing up like candy. Kautsar and Ma Li Ya agrees with me on this one. Hehe

Even my hair products have this sweet strong sweet smell that makes you want to eat my hair up (please don't). No Yvonne, it does not smell like popcorn...

I use the complete set from Sunsilk. The shampoo, conditioner and mouse for my curly hair. They all contain beeswax and have a sweet fruity smell to it. I love it.

My favourite fragranted stuff are perfumes. They are the ultimate. They not only define you, but they give you this sense of confidence as well.

Everyone has their own scent. My mum's is J'dore. Alep is Bvlgari. Derek and his Ferrari.

I remember my very first perfume had Spice Girls on it, which was the main reason I bought it before my teenage years. It is still sitting in my cupboard back home in Kuching.

After that came Perfume Generics: a knock-off all the originals. They are very close to the originals though, and cost less than RM10, so we had bottles and bottles of them.

I had many perfumes from Perfume Generics. Guess, Escape, Poison etc. My mum also had her own collection of them. Beyond Paradiese, Beautiful and so on. We both had different taste in them, but there was one that we both agreed on. Burberry Touch.

Even though I had many different types of perfume from Generics, Burberry Touch was the ultimate. It had this mild sweet woody scent that just pulls the corners of your mouth into a wide smile. It was signature Burberry, even though it was a fake.

That was just the tip of the iceberg.

My very first original perfume was Beyond Paradise by Estee Lauder. Mimi gave me a tiny bottle of it when she bought the promotional package from Parkson years ago, and I only wore it for special occasions.

Beyond Paradise has this unique smell. While many other perfumes have a strong sharp smell that suffocates you, Beyond Paradise has a strong and sweet yet gentle smell that makes you feel as though you are on some sort of paradise island and the world is full of peace and joy. Haha

This year, she gave me three bottle of Estee Lauder's Pleasures.

Pleasures is completely different from Beyond Paradise. This one has a strong sharp smell that sort of invades your nostrils and leaves a dry sting till you can taste it in your mouth. Its not my favourite, but I still wear it because it reminds me of Mimi.

The first time I wore it, Yvonne kept sniffing me like a vampire that wants to suck my blood because she liked it and reminded her of her teacher. Hehe

After that, I decided to splurge a little on myself and buy an original perfume. Problem was, I did not know which one to buy. Then I remember one particular scent that I loved years back. Burberry Touch. Coincidentally, while looking for nail polish in Sasa with Jeslyn, I saw a few perfumes from Burberry and decided to play with them.

I blindly sprayed them onto my wrist until I made a concoction of smells that was unidentifiable, but it smelt really nice. I think it was because I also mixed JLo's Glow into it.

Days after that, I decided that the perfume I wanted was something from Burberry. But I could not find Burberry Touch. Until one day, I met her. The new fragrant from Burberry. The Beat.

It was love at first smell. You can ask Jeslyn about my fetish for it. Everytime we walked into Sasa or Parkson, I would walk out sniffing one of those thin paper strips that has been sprayed on until I get light headed. Lolz.

Ridiculous, I know. But I wanted it so bad, I even told my mum that I was going to spend RM250+ to buy a 50ml bottle. It is very expensive, yes, and very crazy. But I was crazy for it and I knew that it will be worth it in the end.

Before I even took out a single sen from my wallet, my dad offered to buy it for me. Then it was MINE!!! ALL MINE!!! Hahaha

I love Burberry's The Beat. It makes me feel happy, confident and special. The Beat has a young, posh, sophisticated, sexy, gentle, sweet, pleasant and woody smell. Somewhat soothing. It was very Burberry.

It is milder compared to Beyond Paradise, and is not suffocating at all, unlike Pleasures. I love it. Every time the scent diffuses into my nostrils, I would be launched into a state of euphoria.

It feels as though Burberry came up with this scent especially for me :)

The Beat is by far the best perfume ever, IMHO. I have found my signature smell XD

Yes, I love things that smells nice.

But there are also some not-so-nice smelling things that I love too...

Hehehehehe...

What??? They make me feel like a little girl again. Don't judge me!! Shut up and go away!!
:p

Hugh Jackman is Hot....

I had a nervous breakdown last night.

Physics is no fun.

Last night, Andrew tried to give me all sorts of hints and advice on how to do Physics. But seriously Andrew, I do not think putting a T.T at the end of every answer will help me score points with the British people...

The paper today was not what I had expected at all.

I expected something so hard that all of us would not have made it out of the exam hall alive. Come to think about it, there were more theory questions than calculations...

However, it was surprisingly not bad. Thank God... But I am not going to jinx it. Don't want to get too cocky about it...

After we all decided to skip SAT classes today, I went out to Sunway to catch a movie with Arsyad and Zul. Being spoilt little brat me, they agreed to watch X-Men instead of Angels and Demons :p

The movie was awesome!!

It tells us how Wolverine came to be and what not. This is so cool. Now I want to watch the other X-Men movies that I have not watched when they came out years ago. Hehe

Hugh Jackman is hot!!

Heh??? I'm hot meh? Hmmm...

Owh yes, you cannot deny it!!

Hugh : I'm hot!!
Liev : But I'm hot too!! Grrr....

Sorry, Liev Shreiber, Hugh is hotter than you are. And stronger too now that he has adamantium in his body. Check out the rip on his right arm man...

I knew who Hugh Jackman was years ago, but only started to acknowledge him after I watched Australia.

You all remember him in Australia together with Nicole Kidman right?

Ryan Reynolds was in the movie as well. He played Deadpool, and he was haaaawwwttt as well. When he did that sword thing with all the bullets flying at him, dude. That was hot...

Haha if you think that I have lost my marbles, then you are probably right :p
But go watch this movie!! It is a must IMHO. Even after Arsyad watched it twice, he still thought that it was awesome :)

Is It Really?

Yes yes it is possible.

There is a chance that I can get A for my Paper 2 in Physics.

I just need to make sure I do not screw up more than 12 marks, and I am all set.

I hope.

God be kind to me...

More calculations, less reasoning please...

More questions so that the weightage of marks are even...

Give me wisdom and strength to carry through because I have a strong feeling that there is something not quite right with my head right now...

I pray this in the Almighty name of Jesus Christ,

Amen...

AS My ASS

Yay!!

One paper down, 8 more to go!!!

I had my maths paper 1 last wednesday and it was fine. Good thing Cambridge was smart enough to put it first so that I can focus more on the heavy stuff.

Maths was, "a walk in the park."

Get real buddy!! ANYTHING can happen!! But honestly, Maths is a breeze compared to the other subjects that I am going to face in the coming weeks.

World best for Cambridge CIE AS Maths went to my senior, Saufee last year. This year, potential winners are our very own, Daniel, Suzie, Wen Chiat, and June! All the best guys and do us proud :)

The insanity has just begun. Or rather, it started long ago.

I have accepted the fact that there is a high possibility that I might have to repeat my Physics and Chemistry in November. But I have decided to try my best and go against all odds. Work my arse off and try to get those As for my Physics and Chemistry.

While studying in the library yesterday, all hope seemed lost, until our JPA senior Hardeep decided that studying law was boring and walked over to have a little chat with us.

The tips and pointers that he gave us, BRILLIANT!!! I think Chad has fallen in love with him. he even told Hardeep that they have destiny, or something like that. Haha JAI HO!!

Well all of us are working hard and having fun studying together at the same time. Some, more than others...

Mad professor Ling Ling Barbarian!!

Amin and Jo Sze studying for Bio P3

Well, I am going to work on my extremely flawed and incomprehensive skills and knowledge in Physics.

Ciao...

Cuckoo Old Lady

I was happily listening to Justin Timberlake on my laptop while doing my revision for my math exam on Wednesday when I was rudely interupted by a text message I received from my uncool mother regarding my previous post:

Finally figured it out! My son think im not cool. My girl think im not cool. I must be hot! Yeah! :-P

Like, ZOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, this proves my theory that my mother is senile. YES MA YOU ARE A CRAZY SENILE OLD WOMAN!!! And also very disillusioned!

Sigh what am I to do?? *buries face in hands*

Ok, time for more randomness...

My exam officially starts this Wednesday, and no, I did not hit the panic button. Yet. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Arsyad seems to think so. He says its a whole lot better than me crying and acting all weird again.

Exam stress seems to have turned me somewhat not quite right in the head this pass few days. I have been talking non-stop about nonsensical stuff that has no relevant to anything what so ever.

For example, while studying one night, I randomly texted Zul, telling him about his new tagline that I want him to have, "I R BABOON!!". That came out of no where unexpectedly.

I even told Andrew to curl his hair. I also called one of my housemates an orang utan for no reason at all.

Maybe I am the cuckoo one now...

Speaking of cuckoo, I actually had fun in Chemistry class last week. For the first time in history, Mr George called me by name on Friday! He used to call me small girl, and I think will forever call me that. But when he called me, "Sherene", I was like, is there another Sherene in the class?? And he even complimented me on Tuesday saying that I have small girl power :)

We play with chemicals and make pretty colours with weird pungent smell. The pretty one in the middle one is mine, and the sad ugly looking one on the far left is Chad's.

Wahahaha exam week people!! For the next month, expect total random, weird and unexpected things from me!!

XOXO

Way Too Cool For You

While you have a son that says that he is too cool for you, may I proudly secernate that you have a daughter that says that she is WAY too cool for you!

Happy Mothers Day!!

Yes for 19 years I have been a pain in your neck, and most importantly, your most favourite precious daughter that you love more than you love the other two kids at home.

ps: Fiq and Sam don't be jealous. It is true that Mama loves me more than she loves you guys because she has loved me for 19 years. And the two of you, 16 and 10 years, so I WIN!!!

While I was a pain in your neck, you have returned the favour and were and still are a pain in my neck. Annoying and lame as you are, you are still my mother and I am stuck with you for life.

Hehe you know I love you. And you know that I love disturbing you and calling you a crazy old lady. Let us not forget my future plans for you, that is to bring you on a "vacation" in some foreign country where they do not speak English, blindfold you, grab your passport and run, leaving you there alone to fend for yourself :)

Lolz now here I am. Your darling first born has flown from the nest. Even though I do not call you or sms you or entertain you in MSN often, I do miss you. I miss you cleaning my room, cooking my meals, washing my clothes etc...

Even though I complain a whole lot about you, I have come to realise how blessed I am to have a mother like you. The way you treat us with so much love and never once hurt a single hair on our head, except to discipline us that is. Apparently some of my friends have this disillusioned idea that you are cool. Hmm...

So happy mothers day to you my darling slave mother. God bless you always and I love you very very much.

Now for those of you who are reading this, you must be thinking: This girl damn kurang ajar boh ka si talk liddat to her mother no respect blah blah blah...

Well, I am not boh ka si because my mother taught me well. This is just how I talk to my mother and she knows very well that I do not mean all the mean and sarcastic things I say. This is just how we bond, so don't be jealous :p

Owh, and one more thing, Mimi!!!!!

Happy mothers day to you too!! Thank you for taking care of me financially in certain things *winkwink*, and you are just too cute and so therefore we choose you as our number 1 bully target!

Mi, you are like my second mum and thank you for over paying me when I went to work for you :)

I love you too Mi, but I am also WAY too cool for you. Hahaha

Happy mothers day too both of you. Load you loads. XOXOXO

By the way, Badaq, happy mothers day to you as well. Hehehe

I Did Not Fall Asleep During MPO!!

Last week was a drag. Honestly the only thing I looked forward to was spending the whole of Saturday with Jeslyn, Sammy, Bin Han and Brandon.

Since Brandon's birthday is on the 5th, Bin Han suggested that we do something special for him. Now take a look at Brandon (for those of you who know him). You might think that the only type of music that he is interested in is pop music or any music that he can dance to. Womaniser for example.

Well if you thought that, you are very very wrong. Brandon loves orchestra as well. Shocker right? There is a lot more to him that meets the eye. And the fact that he is into orchestra is really unique :) Hence, we decided to make him happy and bring him to watch the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in KLCC last Saturday.

The twin corns and hopefully, my future office :)

The initial plan was for the four of us including Sammy and Sabrina to go, but both of them could not make it for some reasons. So that morning, to kill time, Jeslyn brought me over to Sammy's house. As usual, we got lost on the way thanks to her faithful GPS Garmini.

When we got there, we received a very warm welcome. Not by Sammy, but by her Shih Tzu, Sasha. Sammy warned me that Sasha LOVES to greet strangers. I was, however, not prepared to meet Sasha at all. Let me be frank, I never really had a fondness for dogs. When approached by one, I would cringe up and shift myself into a position as far away as possible from them.

Sasha, the hyper little Shih Tzu

Don't get me wrong. Sasha is sweet. I don't really hate dogs, but I am more of a cats person. As long as they are tame and do not come jumping or barking at me, I am fine. I would not even mind petting them. But Sasha... She was uber hyper! She scared the living daylights out of me!! I was practically screaming the first 15-20 minutes in Sammy's house!! She kept trying to jump on me and bark at me and what not... And yes, they all had a good laugh out of it. Except me that is.

Sammy cooked for us!! She did a fantastic job and there was no need for stomach pumps! Hehe Jeslyn then lost her appetite when we started talking about baby booger, and was further launched into a state of depression when her itch was causing her a great deal of discomfort.

She was so emo that she was basically wailing and whinning and singing her heart out when Sammy turned on her itunes.

"Why?? Why??? Damn itch!!"

Jeslyn singing to Sammy

And to Sasha... Jeslyn crazy...

Even the dog does not have the energy to entertain her...

Proof of how crazy Jeslyn was that day. No, she did not have anything to drink before this video was shot.

Classic.

In the evening, Jeslyn and I proceeded to meet Bin Han and Brandon in KLCC. So we drove off there with the guide of Jeslyn's Garmini, who once again, failed us throughout the entire journey to KLCC. We ended up getting lost. AGAIN.

Garmini and her wonderful directional skills...

But we finally got there and met up with the boys half an hour before the show started. We decided to have Dunkin Donuts for dinner since we were running out of time. Uh huh, I am staying far far away from Dunkin's from now on!! Blegh...

At 8.15pm, we went to the hall and excitedly waited for the show to start. It was a great show, and we got pretty good seats. Grand circle mind you. The hall was amazing. You can hear ringing when there was complete silence. Apparently MPO is world class. Very impressive aye?

What the hall looks like

They were doing showcase on Lat and Charlie Chaplin. They played the movie clips from Lat and Charlie Chaplin while the orchestra played the background music. It was flawless. The conductor was so cute. While everyone else was dressed in their best, he came out with sneakers! And he was bouncing joyfully during the jazz part of the orchestra.

The music was beautiful, especially during the Lat showcase. However, the Charlie Chaplin part failed to compare. It was not as grandeur as the Lat performance. When they were playing Lat, they really used the orchestra to the max and the sound was so amazing that I had trouble trying to decide on what to focus : The screen or the orchestra. Charlie Chaplin on the other hand, did not fully utilise the orchestra, and it basically felt like paying RM75 to watch an old Charlie Chaplin movie.

Our fancy ticket! It says Pin Han hehe

People lining up to get the conductor and the creator of Lat's autographs

New style for Jeslyn

Bin Han and Brandon posing on the railing

We were in the Tower no.1!

The Four of Musketeers :)

A nice shot of all our asses

Mamma Mia!

Jeslyn loves her bling :)

Nevertheless, it was an awesome experience for my first time. I was expecting a lot more orchestra and a lot less silent movie. But it was ok. Brandon said that he was amused, and that was one of the most important part of the day. It is afterall, his birthday. Hehe Given another chance to watch MPO, I would say why not :)

OMHG!!!!!!!!!!!

OMHG!!!

WTH!!!!

WAAAAAARGH!!!

I was bored from studying so I was browsing through Badaq's blog, then I clicked on Wilson's link, then I scanned through his post, then I saw this post of his:

The Bunny's Blog

Like, what the heck?!?!?!

Owh sorry Wilson because you wrote that in February, and I only discovered it in May.

So here is my reply:

I AM a good girl. I do however, find your advice to be crazy.

During weekends I am out the whole day in a mall, sometimes even on a weekday.

Movie time 2 hours?? Well, I suppose its better than the rule you are planning to impose on your future daughter, 1 and half hours for movies -_-"

I love to loiter. Go window shopping with my friends. And when I reach home, I go to sleep. Too tired to study.

I remember you said something about going out with boys? Well I went out to Sunway with 8 guys and was the only girl in the group :p

Sorry bunny, your rules do not scare me. In fact, I think I scare you more than you try to scare me. Why is that so?

1. Well, I dudu you everytime you are online. And your reply is predictable: Oh shit its u!

2. I managed to make you speechless with my sarcasm. Anything you say will be brought down by me *evil grin*

Need I say more?

Dudu
DuduDudu
DuduDuduDudu
DuduDuduDuduDudu
DuduDuduDuduDuduDudu

Stop smoking weed!!! >.<

PS: For those of you who wonder why I dedicate an entire post to him, it is simply because I love to annoy him. The art of annoying him was passed down from Badaq to me, and I am enjoying every moment of it :p

Happy Labour's Day!!

Wheee Happy Labour's Day!!

I appreciate every single thing you have done for me :)

You deserve much more recognition and praise than what you are currently receiving.

Truly society is not thanking you enough for all your blood sweat and tears.

So I take opportunity of this day to say, THANK YOU :)

Now go wash my toilet >.<

Hehehehehehe

Study physics the whole day can drive you crazy. I seriously prefer Chemistry. Well, it is actually a mixed feeling for both subjects. Owh well, whatever gets you through the day huh?

Nipaporn.

I love that Nipa. She is a lot of fun to mess with. You can try any obscene or weird joke on her, and her expression is forever predictable, and priceless.

Nipa has this I-have-something-cheeky-to-say-but-I-am-too-shy-to-say-it-or-else-I'll-be-in-trouble smile on her face most of the time. I keep telling her that she has this smile, yet she never believes me. So the only way to prove it to her is to smile back at her in the manner that she does to us. And yes, it agitates and disturbs her all the time :)

I had fun disturbing her today on MSN. This is our conversation that took place this afternoon, word for word:

Sherene : nipa nudge me wen u get bak

Sherene : got important thing need to tel u

Nipa : yes y??

Sherene : i reli need to tel u this

*naughty thought popped into mind and a cheeky smile spread across my face*

Nipa : wat

Sherene : i'm lesbian and i Love u

Sherene : (heart emoticon)

Nipa : craz ah

Nipa : crazy ah

Sherene : haha

Nipa : dn like that la

Sherene : owh i seee

Sherene : make fun of lesbian izzit??

Nipa : i din breathe 4 a moment k

Sherene : HAHAH

Sherene : jk la nipa

Nipa : suspense ony

Nipa : crazy

Yes Nipa I am crazy. Crazy in love head over heels truly madly deeply in love with you. Unfortunately, I have already decided to woo June instead of you because she is sexy and has a gorgeous face.

Sorry Nipa. I have to betray your love :p

Nipa's cue to sing I Hate This Part Right Here...

Owh how can I ever forget. Nipa wants to destroy Pussycat Doll and form a new group called CNS or is it NCS. Lolz... Good luck Nipa hahaha
