11 Hours Out of the House

Yes. I was out of the house today, for 11hours straight. From 8.30am, to 7.30pm *faints*

I went out with Suria, Nancy, Kang Hong and Liu Ann to school for the annual Hari Koperasi. It was more chaotic than I expected! People literally screaming at the top of their lungs in vain attempt to attract people to buy whatever crap goodies they were selling. We have not even set foot into the canteen and already familiar faces were calling after us, dragging us to their respective stalls!! We walked around a little bit, but refrained from buying anything until..... one eng tau kia came running up to us with a box full of ice-blended Milo in hand... How in the world can we refuse this guy, especially since he is our goodest closetest friend, Mr Blackie Dexter Lee *coughcoughandnewlyelectedheadprefectofthewholefreakinskulcoughcough*

Yes people, get your very own Dexter Lee for RM2!!! Any takers? lolz OMG is it the terrible picture quality or am i as BLACK as he is????

AND I also got coaxed by Clement into buying some fruit jelly thing that he supposedly made "himself". But he gave me a special treat after indirectly saying that I looked "ugly" with my hair down (salesman tactic to trick people into buying their stupid hair scrunchies..... I hope. I mean, do I REALLY look that bad????

This year's Hari Koperasi had a few improvements compared to the one we had last year. 5A was smart enough to open a BBQ stall with Magnus manning the fire with his scouting skills, of course; Leo Club organised a "Fun Fair" *raise eyebrows* games thingy and body art; futsall competition at the padang. Though it was slightly chaotic, it was fun to be part of it, but of course, it was even MORE fun to be the one running amuck and or trying to out-scream your competition at the food stalls (survival of the fittest. in this case, the loudest).
Ahhh I remember the good old days *starts to drift off in a flashback daydream* Last year's hari koperasi post

Ahemzzz
After we had enough of the madness there, we headed to McD for lunch.

Me, Nancy, Suria and Liu Ann

and of course, Kang Hong

After whinning and bitching and threatening to make them walk home
Later on we all agreed to watch the lastest Steve Carell movie, Get Smart.

Agent 99 and Agent 86, Maxwell Smart

OMG this movie is hillarious! We were literally laughing out loud in the theatre!! (psst, that is an understatement of how we responded to the movie) So many funny scenes!! From fat dancing ladies to falling out of the plane without a parachute to Steve Carell kissing The Rock and showing off his naked butt to everyone, that movie was a downright genius movie filled with comedy from start to finish! Even the supposed-to-be-sensitive-jiwang-and-emotional flashback was funny.

One of the best part of that movie is, MASI OKA!! YUPZ our beloved Hiro Nakamura from Heroes is in the movie too!! And may I point out that he is so super nerdy and super cute in that movie. Hehehe Ok enough spoilers *cheeky smile on face*

Today was loads of fun. I had a great time catching up with them, laughing as we gossiped about other people and their misery talked about "current events", and just simply loitering around.
Sighzz I cannot remember when was the last time I laughed so much in one day. Owh this reminds me of all the times Suria, Joshua and I were laughing our butts off till we had stomach cramps and tears rolling down our cheeks at the back of the class, regardless of whether the teacher is presently teaching or not omg we should have been sitting there quietly and studying right??? and omg my mum reads my blog!!!! i'm in trouble...

Clearly the class of 5A 2007 was made up of a bunch of insane people with endless antics, funny comments and comebacks, zany actions and all sorts of nonsense!!

Gaahhh I can't wait for the next time we get together for another round of nonsensical insanity before I take off!! Wakaka

Back to KK Again!!

Right after I came back from Damai with my "posse", I flew off to Kota Kinabalu with Badaq, my aunt (Mimi) and my Ah-Maa the very next day. It was more fun than what I had anticipated what with Badaq and I bullying Mimi to the max and making faces when the queen nagged or grumbled about something that does not concern her at all family bonding and stuff. This was a 4 days and 4 nights trip, so this might be a long post. Fret not, I will break it down into its relevant categories before someone accuses me of being too long and winding in each and every single one of my post. yes, you know who you are....

ABOUT KK...
KK is actually a nice place to go to. It is actually more interesting than Kuching *gasps* as it has alot more to offer in terms of branded stores, branches of famous restaurants and a breath-taking view of nature (the ocean and mountains). Heck, they even have the SEA by the roadside, and it is not even anywhere near the outskirts of KK, but is super close to town!! *woe kuching, what do YOU have??? a filthy river!!* (ok ok I'm not actually being fair, geographically speaking, as Kuching is situated far from the sea, unlike KK... but stil, NYEH NYEH NYEH!!!! HA!!

Sea by the roadside. Can go there for picnic le (probably not the best idea though... kekeke)

Apart from that, they have TWO (as far as I know) Golden Screen Cinemas!! AND, instead of using readily bought paper posters like most cinemas do, they actually HAND PAINTED the whole thing onto a huge board by the road side!

Kung Fu Panda and Get Started Retarded Smart!! Looks like the real deal does it not??

SHOPPING-AHHH
We did not do much there. Went to One Borneo, the new mall in KK, which is near University Sabah Malaysia. That mall is bigger and posher compared to Spring and Boulevard here in Kuching, nay, compared to both Spring and Boulevard combined!!

One Borneo. Not quite completed yet

But sadly, 50% of the shops in there has not opened yet, so there was not much to see. Tragically, FCUK was not opened either! Argh tragedy...... Tragedy...
Other malls and shopping complex that we set foot into included Warisan Square, Centre Point and Karamunsing. Being the unobsessive and uncompulsive shopper that I am, I did not buy anything for myself this trip as there was nada stuff that I wanted there. So yeah, I suppose that is a good thing, right???? Hermz...

Couture time!!
COOL CONDO!!! *gawks in amazement*
Actually, I have seen Kuku's condo before during my last trip there last February. But that time I did not take any pictures of his cool bachelor-pad-like condo. He "poshed up" his unit by adding lots of cool furnitures, paintings and stuff.

But the coolest part of the house has got to be the balcony!!

The balcony!! Single handedly the COOLEST part of the house!!
That spot is the absolute best when you want peace and quiet, or when you want to phase into jiwangnessism mode and stare out into the mountians and stuff like Badaq and I did *coughcoughcough*

Our favourite spot. We enjoy giving the adults a fright by putting our feet up (mind you, its four storeys up)!! pfft its not THAT scary ok????
THE KK PEOPLE
Special thanks to Ku for being so wonderful and hospitable to us the entire time!

aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! uh-huh, thats my family for you. always whacky...

We also met up with Hansboy! This devilishly cute boy entertained us non stop with his cute antics.

Awwww...

He is half indian, half chinese. He entertained us at the kopitiam by singing a Hokkien song of some sort. Hehe so cute.
FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!
OMG I ate so much in KK. For every meal that we had, I was super full to the max!!

Clockwise: Ngiu Chap Mee, Fish Noodles (noodles made out of fish!!), some ham and egg thing from a Penang food store and 1901 Chicago hotdog

Dr. Pepper and Lime Diet Coke, imported from UK. RM3.90 per can

We went to Little Italy for lunch on Sunday. This place is where I learnt to eat and love pizza yeeeeears ago!!

Little Italy: Authentically Italiano!! Pizzas and Pasta

One thing about KK food that scares me is the price!! Not only is it expensive, but they also have tax!! OMG and I am talking about your regular coffee shop, with no air-cond, no posh tables and chairs. Just your simple average joe freakin kopitiam!!

OMG TAX?? KOPITIAM??? scary......

One bowl of ngiu chap mee (gu bak mee) is RM6!! Expensive right? But it is justifiable, as Ivan said, they put in alot of liaw (ingredients), so obviously it would be more costly (refer to photo of ngiu chap mee somewhere up there). I am just dumbfounded by the whole tax thing! I swear KK people live more luxuriously and are richer than Kuching people!! Wakaka

The trip this time round was more fun and erm, interesting. Had fun in KK, but having said that, I am glad to finally be home in Kuching!! :p

Gals Night Out

After much planning, frustration, fighting mature discussion, digression, and most importantly, a WHOLE LOAD OF DRAMAAAAAAaaaaaaaAAAAAA, our Damai plan finally fell into place, and it went better than anything that I could have hoped for!!

Eddie, Edwin, Badaq (whom I begged asked to accompany us, especially me) and myself stayed in a chalet in Damai Beach Resort (17-18 June 2008). Chalet??? Zzzzzz all the standard rooms were full so we had to settle for the cheapest thing available being the super cheapidee cheapskates we are as we are unemployed and are on a tight budget.
After settling down, the first thing we did was go to the beach!! At 3 something in the afternoon!! Under the hot blazing sun!! LOLZ ok ok, it was not THAT hot at all. So this is what we did:

splashed at each other

covered Edwin and Eddie's leg with sand while sharing mushy mushy mushroomy secrets talking

grafitied on the sand. All sand art praise goes to Eddie

"practised" the latest fashion trends for galpals

waded

We were later joined by Badaq who was happily indulging herself in New Moon, the second saga off the addictive novel, Twilight.

I BELIEVE!!!!!

Badaq and Sheep grafity

This is our "winter stock":

It is full of junk. Enough for us to be stuffing our faces for three days and two nights, or four days and three nights (consumed in moderation)!! Since it was raining in the evening, we were trapped inside the chalet. So we played UNO (I only lost three times and won once. YELLOW is EVIL), ruined the Pink Panther movie for Eddie watched movies and most importantly.............

Jumped on the bed!! *that was sort of my fault. I started it. wakaka*

After it finally stopped raining, I DRAGGED the two boys to go for a stroll while pigging down on snacks. It was a pleasant and enjoyable walk, and we promised to get up EARLY in the morning to watch the sun rise on the beach together.

BUT...... come 6am, I was up. Eddie was up. I went outside to take a peep the sky. Eddie went back to snorring his ass off together with Edwin sleep. What the french connection united kingdom heck la. (DIGRESSION *can't resist inserting this into this here post* : I was up at 4.30am, and I heard both of them snorring like there is no tomorrow. I find it rather, CUTE!!! OMG hahahhahahahahahhaha) Anyway, I did not want to waste that glorious morning, so I went down to the beach alone. The morning scenary was beautiful. The waters were so calm, not a single wave in sight.

*wish I could have shared it with you guys, but who asked you to be ....

gaaahhhhhhh*

Anyhoo... after breakfast with Badaq, we all went to the pool and lepak-ed till 11am.

Edwin, Badaq, Eddie and I

Badaq and I

The Gals Guys ????? and I

Before I rant on somemore, I just want to say THANXXXX to Badaq for agreeing to come down to Damai with me. And for putting up with our insaneness, and our loudness, and our immature acts, and our crude crude XXXXX-rated languages/words (especially Eddie's). Without her, THIS COULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED!!! *omg see how significant you are, badaq*

Sighzz it was sad that the trip had to end so soon. Sobszzz time flies when you are having fun.

BFFRES

(kudos to Badaq for capturing this amazingly beautiful picture of us. and hats off to Eddie for editing it)

Hey guys, so when are we going to have another sleepover aye?? XD

Look What I Found!!

I was browsing around the PC after my brother installed a new hard drive into it, and I came across my photos from our Prefect Dinner in 2006!!

Ahhhh *reminisce*

I remember it well, sort of. It was an entire night of insanity!! It was suppose to be our seniors' dinner (Harry's batch of prefects), but they invited us AJK as they wanted us to do some work for them. Jia Seng and I were the emcee *OMG rolf lmao*

I recall perfectly that Jia Seng and Ning Jian almost got into a brawl because of the whole emcee thing, but it all worked out perfectly anywayz. Bradley was being a major bully and crackhead, which made everything more interesting! Harry even called Kwan Tuck down for the dinner as they are quite good friends and stuff.

Enough said, its photo time!!

Teck Siong and I

Posing with a Future Doctor!! Cindy, Doreen, Future-Dr. Kwan Tuck, me and Nancy
OMG most of us look so different compared to then and now. We look so young and immature LOL!!!
Most of the pictures are blur because my camera was running on LOW battery supply. I forgot to charge it before hand!! Haha

It was fun, everyone was having fun, but the man of the night is none other than Jia Seng!! Thats because he got the ladies that night!

So the honourary title goes deservingly to Jia Seng, as he also got a guy too!!

ROLF OMG that was so much fun. I miss those days... XD
