Gals Night Out

After much planning, frustration, fighting mature discussion, digression, and most importantly, a WHOLE LOAD OF DRAMAAAAAAaaaaaaaAAAAAA, our Damai plan finally fell into place, and it went better than anything that I could have hoped for!!

Eddie, Edwin, Badaq (whom I begged asked to accompany us, especially me) and myself stayed in a chalet in Damai Beach Resort (17-18 June 2008). Chalet??? Zzzzzz all the standard rooms were full so we had to settle for the cheapest thing available being the super cheapidee cheapskates we are as we are unemployed and are on a tight budget.
After settling down, the first thing we did was go to the beach!! At 3 something in the afternoon!! Under the hot blazing sun!! LOLZ ok ok, it was not THAT hot at all. So this is what we did:

splashed at each other

covered Edwin and Eddie's leg with sand while sharing mushy mushy mushroomy secrets talking

grafitied on the sand. All sand art praise goes to Eddie

"practised" the latest fashion trends for galpals

waded

We were later joined by Badaq who was happily indulging herself in New Moon, the second saga off the addictive novel, Twilight.

I BELIEVE!!!!!

Badaq and Sheep grafity

This is our "winter stock":

It is full of junk. Enough for us to be stuffing our faces for three days and two nights, or four days and three nights (consumed in moderation)!! Since it was raining in the evening, we were trapped inside the chalet. So we played UNO (I only lost three times and won once. YELLOW is EVIL), ruined the Pink Panther movie for Eddie watched movies and most importantly.............

Jumped on the bed!! *that was sort of my fault. I started it. wakaka*

After it finally stopped raining, I DRAGGED the two boys to go for a stroll while pigging down on snacks. It was a pleasant and enjoyable walk, and we promised to get up EARLY in the morning to watch the sun rise on the beach together.

BUT...... come 6am, I was up. Eddie was up. I went outside to take a peep the sky. Eddie went back to snorring his ass off together with Edwin sleep. What the french connection united kingdom heck la. (DIGRESSION *can't resist inserting this into this here post* : I was up at 4.30am, and I heard both of them snorring like there is no tomorrow. I find it rather, CUTE!!! OMG hahahhahahahahahhaha) Anyway, I did not want to waste that glorious morning, so I went down to the beach alone. The morning scenary was beautiful. The waters were so calm, not a single wave in sight.

*wish I could have shared it with you guys, but who asked you to be ....

gaaahhhhhhh*

Anyhoo... after breakfast with Badaq, we all went to the pool and lepak-ed till 11am.

Edwin, Badaq, Eddie and I

Badaq and I

The Gals Guys ????? and I

Before I rant on somemore, I just want to say THANXXXX to Badaq for agreeing to come down to Damai with me. And for putting up with our insaneness, and our loudness, and our immature acts, and our crude crude XXXXX-rated languages/words (especially Eddie's). Without her, THIS COULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED!!! *omg see how significant you are, badaq*

Sighzz it was sad that the trip had to end so soon. Sobszzz time flies when you are having fun.

BFFRES

(kudos to Badaq for capturing this amazingly beautiful picture of us. and hats off to Eddie for editing it)

Hey guys, so when are we going to have another sleepover aye?? XD

Look What I Found!!

I was browsing around the PC after my brother installed a new hard drive into it, and I came across my photos from our Prefect Dinner in 2006!!

Ahhhh *reminisce*

I remember it well, sort of. It was an entire night of insanity!! It was suppose to be our seniors' dinner (Harry's batch of prefects), but they invited us AJK as they wanted us to do some work for them. Jia Seng and I were the emcee *OMG rolf lmao*

I recall perfectly that Jia Seng and Ning Jian almost got into a brawl because of the whole emcee thing, but it all worked out perfectly anywayz. Bradley was being a major bully and crackhead, which made everything more interesting! Harry even called Kwan Tuck down for the dinner as they are quite good friends and stuff.

Enough said, its photo time!!

Teck Siong and I

Posing with a Future Doctor!! Cindy, Doreen, Future-Dr. Kwan Tuck, me and Nancy
OMG most of us look so different compared to then and now. We look so young and immature LOL!!!
Most of the pictures are blur because my camera was running on LOW battery supply. I forgot to charge it before hand!! Haha

It was fun, everyone was having fun, but the man of the night is none other than Jia Seng!! Thats because he got the ladies that night!

Cindy and Jia Seng

Suria, Jia Seng and I

Janet, Jia Seng and Jackeline

So the honourary title goes deservingly to Jia Seng, as he also got a guy too!!

OMG!!! Sam and Jia Seng

ROLF OMG that was so much fun. I miss those days... XD

You Don't Know I Do Drugs*

*title of this post can only be understood by those who have watched Jeff Dunham and Achmed's Jingle Bombs Christmas Performance

If you were a complete stranger to me, if you have never met me before in your entire life, and we were to cross paths today, you would probably think that I am a junkie.

What on earth would ever cause me to say such words?

Could it be the fact that I have a plaster on the right side of my arm?
Could it be the fact that I have a fresh bloody scab situated above the plaster?
Could it be the fact that there is this thick black circle that surrounds the scab on my arm?

Well, try all the above!! not to mention the fact that my deranged hair has a mind of its own, thus making me look like some kind of demented person walking down the streets of kuching
wakaka

Looks nasty, does it not? Haha. I went for my mandatory medical check up at Normah Hospital. The picture above is my precious souvenier from the pleasant staff of the Normah Wellness Centre. The plaster is where they poked a needle into me to drain my blood! Due to my trauma of having needles being jabbed into any part of me (especially my jaws!!), I simply turned the other way throughout the whole procedure, which made it less painful as I do not have to watch in agony as the needles draw closer to me.

This baby is where I had my Mantoux shot (Mun Khea, did I spell it right??) which was super duper painful!! This shot is to test whether I have TB or not. The entire process felt as though someone was pinching my skin and twisting it with their super sharp fingernails. It looks like a mosquitoe bite as this shot goes under the skin, which explains why its more painful than the blood sucking process. Apart from that I also had fun with the X-ray test. Yvonne (from JB) was right about the procedure! We have to stand like a chicken while pressing ourselves against the glass thingy while wearing the hospital gowns or kimonos!!! OMG so funny. Hahaha

So anyway, after that I went out with Badaq to the Spring, and I felt pretty weird walking around with the stuff on my arm.

Seriously, what thoughts will come across your mind when you see a person with such markings on their arms? The plaster looks merely innocent. The red scab practically parades the fact that I just had a needle stuck in to that spot. But the black circle does ALL the talking for you; JUNKIEEEEeeeeee....

This is EXACTLY why I stated earlier on that you might perceive me as a junkie.

Badaq: said-something-about-junkies-and-my-scab-that-i-cant-remember-specifically
Sherene: OMG hahaha. dont say that out loud, later people really think that I am a junkie
Badaq: hehehe, you dont know you do drugs!!

Oh My Woman

YAY my woman is back!! *suria is my woman, meant in a 100% extremely platonic fashion*

Suria just came back on Saturday night from UTP. I gave her the day off to spend with her family yesterday, so today was our day together!!

Hermz, lets see… We did the usual stuff we normally do; lunch at Bing!, watch movie, and then we hit the Spring!!

Goofing off at Padini

OMG a skirt????? Mimi said I should get one of those... swt *note confused look on my face.. I am NOT smiling*

Owh I saw Auntie Lily (Ariez's mum) at Bing!, but she did not recognise me!! Huhu I guess the tennis people kinda forgot what I look like, considering I have not seen them since April last year. Jacob almost did not recognise me when we met at the cinema weeks ago!! Hermz, did I change that much since April 2007?? OMG do NOT tell me that I have put on tonszzz of weight!!! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo... Tragedy..

Hehe anyway, we watched Kung Fu Panda!! It is the cutest animated movie of the year!! Jack Black has done it again!!

Jack Black lending his voice to the main character, Po the Panda

Po is the chosen Dragon Warrior. Btw his dad is a duck. Su and I hoped that he was adopted if not OMG!! *think pure thoughts, think pure thoughts*
My favourite character is the old Master Oogway, the turtle. He talks super slow and has the cutest laziest eyes ever!! Plus, he is like super wise.

So today was really fun, gossiping and trading juicy stories about other people catching up with Suria. Oh, MBKS and DBKU were super duper kind to me today.

Yes, they gave me not one, not two, not three, not four, not even five, but SIX STINKING PARKING TICKETS!!!
Total amount spent on parking ticket today = Rm4.40
What the french connection united kingdom heck?!?!? Gahh never in my entire life have I ever seen anyone getting so many parking tickets in one day, not even my parents!!!

Sigh, oh well, no matter!! I'm going out with Eddie and Edwin tomorrow, and THEY shall pay for ALL the parking tickets we are going to get tomorrow!!!
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA............ *just kidding la guys*
LOLZ XD

English Vs. Manglish

Here in Malaysia, it is common for us Malaysians to speak English to one another. However our English is very much different than the English spoken by the Mat Sallehs. Our English is not as refined as theirs, as ours is a concoction of direct translations (from Chinese and Malay languages), suffixes (lah, bah, meh etc), and oodles of mispronounciations.

Our English, is proudly called Manglish. Based on the information I dug up from wikipedia.org, this is a distinctive definition of Manglish:

Manglish (or sometimes Malglish or Mangled English) is the colloquial version of the English language as spoken in Malaysia and it is a portmanteau of the word Malay and English (also possibly Mandarin and English). The Malaysian Manglish is sometimes known as Rojak or Bahasa Rojak, but it differs with the Rojak language by the usage of English as the base language. It is similar to Singlish.

Anyhoo, read up Manglish on wikipedia! Its entertaining and informative! Cindy enjoyed it, I'm sure you will as well!

I got this from an email that was forwarded by Ning Jian. It says a lot about our Manglish, our people's personalities and most importantly, it is FUNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEE!!!!! lolz...
Enjoy..

Who says our English is teruk? Just see below - Ours is simple, short, concise, straight-to-point, effective etc.........

Gawai Gawai Gawai

It was the first day of June, 2008. We headed down to kampung for Gawai celebrations, as we have been doing ever since we have came to exist in this world. The journey to Kampung Tian took about half hour as usual, and the entire time, I was dozing off, but kept waking up everytime my head hit the side of the door *zzzzzz -BANG!!!!- wake up!!!* lolz NOT FUNNEEEEEEE
As we exited the main road to turn into the junction linking up to the kampung, I felt it necessary to be awake now. My sleepiness however, was quick to vanish at the very mention of his name in the car.

"He was there in the kampung yesterday le," said my sister.

Something inside me jerked and I felt full alertness after my sister recited that very line. He was there in the kampung now as we speak! I was excited and could not wait to see him again! I remembered the last time I had an encounter with him at my cousin's wedding party. It was brief meeting, thus I had no privillage of positioning myself in his presence and giving him my utmost attention. Nevertheless, since he is in kampung now, I have an entire day with him.
After we finally pulled up at my grandparents' house in the kampung, the first thing we did was of course, to help unload the car. The very moment I entered the house with two bags in my hands, I saw him there, sitting on the couch, in all his cuteness and handsomeness and adorableness and cheekyness and *clears throat* ok, getting carried away here. Anyway I proceeded to place the bags in its proper place, and dashed off to the sweet angel that I was absolutely positively excited to see again!
He greeted me with a goofy grin in a manner that projected that he was also happy to see me, and was so adorable, it simply melted my heart! I hugged him. I cuddled him. I kissed him. The rest of my day was mostly spent with him. Lots of cuddles, lots of smiles, lots of picture taking, lots of kisses (^-^). He sang for me too. He even fell asleep with his head on my lap as I was tending to a horrible mosquitoe bite on his feet. I guess he find it soothing till he dozed off! So adorableeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Haha
Oh! who is this boy that I am speaking ever so fondly of? Wakaka LOLZ!! Its my 3 year old cousin, Ah Seng!!!!

Ah Seng and I... HUGZZZZZZZZ

zzzzzzz This boy is so adorable! He can talk now! He could barely speak a word (sort of) during CNY this year, and now, he can even sing me to! Oh how much he has grown! His siblings are equally cute! His sister, Mary is all about girl power! Everytime my brother pretended to hit me or bully me, Mary would spring into action to defend me by means of scolding my brother, "Jahat!" or by hitting him back!

Mary Mary quite contrary (to the definition of ladylike)

I did the MEANEST thing to Ah Seng by slipping his feet into my brother's big slippers! Watching him struggle to walk in those big ass slippers is like, super entertaining and he is just so cute to the max!! So here are some random pictures of my cousins. I could not get them all as they are either too shy, or too busy running around the whole kampung.

Cuddling Ah Seng and Mary; Ah Seng in huge slippers; Samuel and Villan with Ah Seng and my bro in living room

My brother stuck a bottle into Ah Seng's shirt; Callel with his sister Mary; Collin playing with Cola
Anyway, this time my stay in the kampung is pleasant, as it always is most of the time. I got my brother to go around the house to take random pictures of it, as this year might be my last Gawai in kampung. So, enough talk!! Here are the pictures:

Left to right: Living room, outdoors kitchen (using direct fire to cook stuff), indoors kitchen (sink area)

Not-quite-sure-what-this-place-is-for, old abandoned toilet, , neighbouring houses

And now for the food, and random pictures of the people responsible for preparing it!!

Mix veggie; Tauhu; My dad's cooking - DUCK!!

Unc Ter preparing the fish; Amang Villan preparing mince meat manual style; my dad preparing his duck

Cooking the duck outdoors
So thats all I have to offer for now. I did not manage to take any shots of my dad's farm and my grandma's paddy field, but if my brother did snap pictures of them, then I will upload them into this blog the very moment I can. I actually have a whole lot more photos and videos (having trouble uploading them into my Youtube), but I shall spare you all from being vexed by this Ah-Seng-obsessed post of mine! Lolz...
