The only reason why I went for the KDU Sports Carnival this year was because I promised Boy that we would go watch them cheer.
I intended to just watch them cheer, then go back home and study.
Little did I know that I would end up staying for the entire thing the whole morning!
When I got there together with Rashad and Nazirul, I thought that we were late and that the whole thing had already started. But everything was not set up yet and the participants were busy getting ready and doing last minute practises. So I managed to get a little sneak peek before my juniors went out there to perform.

A few of us from AL608 came to give support to our juniors and the entire Pre-U department.
The event kicked off with the march pass and cheers. Blue house came first, and impressed everyone with their synchronised marching formations and cheers.
But our house literally stole the whole show with our performance. It was 100 times better than what I expected from them and also a whole lot better than any other house!
Weeks before the carnival, Dayat and Eva came complaining to me a few times about the march and cheer. Out of stress I suppose. They were both concerned about formations and choreography being incomplete and about what little time they had left.
I think they had about a month to practise and get the entire thing complete. And the march took less than that!
If you were to see their performance that day, you would have thought that they have been at it for months!
They were amazing! Very synchronised no obvious mistakes (I say that because I really did not see anything wrong with anyone's movement).
I am not exagerating.

GO FIGHT WIN!!!

Mascots at work
After the march and cheers, the netball competition commenced!
And again, we kicked ass!! Even Dr Chia joined the yellow team to kick ass.
Up next was the tug of war...
This time, the tug went to the blue house. And despite everyone's effort to cheer on the yellow team, the other teams proved to be bigger and stronger than everyone else.
Medals and trophies were given out at the end of the day.
Credit was given when it was due, true sportsmanship was displayed (well, for some people that is), and what else can I say? Yellow team rocks!

The entire yellow team
Yes, I ended up staying a little bit longer than what I originally planned. But no regrets. It was an awesome event and a spectacular performance that my juniors put on. It was by far the best sports carnival ever!
