When Christians Celebrate Satu Malaysia

My RM245 was not wasted. Who said that I was going to wear my kebaya once only?

The theme for last night's Couz (SIB KL's college zone) was Satu Malaysia, where we came together to celebrate our nation.

Everyone was encouraged to dress up as what we think represents Malaysia.

Most came in kebaya, cheongsam, and baju kurung. A few very creative ones came as mamak, some came in Indian outfits, three came in their secondary uniforms with one very ah-beng looking fler that looks as though he is from Kuching Town No.1!

And of course, I went in my kebaya.

Shin Yi and I in kebayas XD

It took me 10 minutes just to put on the sarong itself! Struggled like mad!

It was fun looking at what everyone was wearing.

The reason why everyone was so hyped up about it was because the winning cell group gets a free bowling trip!

My cell? Sheep United!!

Sheep United! Edna and Cindy came in the Malaysian flag colours

The night first started off with an ice-breaker. I have no idea what you call it, but the main objective was to finish off the other cell groups!

The Red Indians

Next was the fashion catwalk by one representative from each cell. Sheep United was represented by our very own Melody :)

Miss Sheep United

The best catwalk went to Nicholas who dressed up as a mamak!

He even tied rubber bands to his thumbs, giving the impression that he was tarik-ing tea! And omg he had the funniest walk ever!

Then came the most adrenaline rushing part of the night. The Malaysian Quiz.

In order to answer a question, a representative from each cell must try to grab the Malaysian flag on the plastic table in the middle of the room. First person to grab it gets to answer the question.

These people do not play nice! Lolz

People were basically banging into the table and into each other just to grab the flag.

Run!! Note the ah-beng on the left side of the photo!

It got so rough at one point that they bent the table's legs. What was once a straight leg is now a curved one. All four of it!

What was chosen to replace the table?

Him!

"Bang into me minus 20 points!"

Poor Vincent. People kept banging into him anyway. He was not amused.

So that was basically what happened during Satu Malaysia during Couz, apart from the usual prayer and worship, and the Run for the Nation talk by Daniel.

I had no regrets going! I hesitated because I thought of studying that night.

Owh yea, I should probably mention this. Ms Sathya wants us to study 8 hours a day at home on a weekday, and 12 hours on a weekend. owhwellthatslife...

I should probably get back to Physics now. Nerd

Here are some shots I stole from people on facebook!
