The school was established in 1874, making it two years older than the state of Colorado!
Located in the quiet and serene city of Golden, with an elevation of more than a mile above sea level.
The school is surrounded by plenty of mountains, perfect for any person who loves the outdoors. And trust me, these Colorado people LOVE the outdoors.
I have been here for almost a year, and I tell you. There is no other school/college/university that I would much rather be in!
We are a school full of engineers and science/math loving people. Nerds and geeks, yes. Which makes it all the more fun. But do not get me wrong. Not every single Mines student looks like this:

For the next few weeks, I will be writing posts about my freshman year; the things I have done, the places I have been to, the people I have met, the things I had to go through etc.

Do not ask me how to sing it. I have absolutely no idea.
