I came home Friday night right after CouZ and just crashed on my bed.
CouZ was fun by the way. And I won the ice-breaker of talking AT people hahaha. I did not know I had that much crap in me :p
Sheep United and ChampionSheep United UNITED!!! Now from different cells but we still love each other just as much :)
I woke up at 3.30am on Saturday morning right after Marilyn texted me.
OMG 3.30AM??? WHADDA HECK AND WHY you must be thinking.
I missed my cell friends so much that I could not wait for sunrise to see them :)
Hahaha I love them loads but thats not the reason why. Please lah. I told you guys in the previous post that I love my sleep -.-
10 of us woke up super early in the morning to go on a cell outing, to CLIMB BROGA HILL in Semenyih!!! We had to leave early because we wanted to catch the sunrise at 7am :)
I left Sterling at 4am, made it to the Chew's nest at 4.30am, and we all left at 5am.
Rachel's sleepy face
Piling into the Twin's car
Andrew feasting on his McBreakfast. The first time I went through a McD-Drive Through! So ulu kan!! hahaha
When we arrived at Broga at 6am, it was super dark! Thank you Arsyad for the torchlight. Luckily we had four of them, otherwise we have to "walk by faith, not by sight" lolz.
So dark!
When we got there, the place was already filled with people who had the same idea. So there was minimal risk of us getting lost or robbed.
The climb up was super fun! It was fun helping each other climb all the way to the top, and I was Rachel's "torchlight" hehe.
We managed to reach the first peak at 7am, right before the sun came out. The sky was a beautiful mix of pink, purple and orange. Since it was on top of a hill and was really early in the morning, it was very windy and chilly as well. Just perfect for an early morning climb :)
The sky is Your canvas, God. Looks like pink, orange and purple are Your favourite early morning colours :)
The climb all the way up there was a challenge, but it was doable. This is the only time in my life where being short has its advantage and disadvantage, both at the same time.
ADVANTAGE : I have a lower centre of gravity. So the chances of me losing my stability and falling is very low compared to the rest.
DISADVANTAGE : Some of the steps were really high. Made my climb up even harder!
Despite all that, it was all worth it. The view up there was simply breathtaking. You have to forgive my small little camera that cannot compete with Marilyn and James' Canon DSLR. But I do my best, so bear with me.
We found three pairs of shoes hanging up there!
Not that bad for a compact camera right? Seriously, I cannot even begin to describe to you how beautiful it was. I felt like I was in China! You know, like those kung-fu movies where they are always travelling through the mountains and what not. But really, you have to see it for yourself to truly understand how beautiful it was up there.
There were lalangs, rocks, four peaks, lots of trails and CLEAN FRESH AIR!!
The view of the 2nd peak and its many trails from a rock on the 3rd peak
Splendid weather. Breathtaking view. Wonderful company :)
Jon Lee, Marilyn, Rachel Ang, Chris, Andrew, Rachel Thong and Cissie. Quan and James were next to me when this was taken :)
How often do you get to climb a hill with your fellow sheep who are willing to wake up at 3 in the morning and go through an hours drive to Semenyih, scale the hill that has four peaks and get such a beautiful view of nature in all of God's glory?
Not very often right?
Thus, we took this opportunity to take LOADS of pictures up there!
The happily married cell leader and zone leader :)
ROARING SHEEP!!

His zen moment
The twin monkeys hehe
Us :)
Them monkey boys
Jon-jon!! He melts in the sunlight!!!
Forced to do push ups on a rock on top of a hill!!
While Jon was doing the push ups, there was another group of people that were cheering him on!
Hahaha we give you good publicity Jon!
Btw, Jon, and the twins, Marilyn and Rachel are from Kuching as well! Hehe
And here, a few classic moments aided by the sun :)
This is a really beautiful picture :)
Again, I make you look good Jon hehe
There were so many people enjoying the view up there as well. Kids, old folks, teenagers, young adults, middle aged people, and yes, even a dog!
Super pup!!
Sadly, the fun came to an end, and we had to make our way down :(
I tell you!
The climb UP is so much easier than the climb down! It is a whole lot more challenging, and even more life-threatening!!!!
There were so many times when I almost lost my balance! The track was very very steep! Going downhill is bad for the ankles and knees hmph! Really I tell you! I would rather climb UP somemore than go down!
Broga in all its steepness. No this is not even the steepest part of the hill!!
If only they built like a lift or something to transport people down from the hill. I told Quan to bring banana leaves next time so that we can just slide down the hill hehe.
Took this on the way down for fun. Wanted to play with my macro hehe
Can you believe we were on top of that thing??
When we got back to James' place, we were pretty wiped out. And look at who we found fast asleep on the couch.
We tried whispering into his ear, plopping down onto the couch next to him and he still would not wake up! Haha
All in all, it was a very fun experience. I finally got a breath of clean fresh air here in Selangor. And this trip made us closer to each other :)
Can't wait for the next cell outing!
